Removing Unethical Directors

Unethical directors are an unpleasant reality for many condominium corporations.  An effective way to guard against unethical directors is to pass a Directors’ Ethics By-law.  Among other important provisions, this By-law modifies the qualifications required to become a director of the condominium corporation by adding a requirement to behave ethically in the role of director.  If a director behaves unethically a specified number of times, then director becomes subject to an Ethics Review at which the rest of the board can decide whether to require the resignation of that director.
